Honda's first-ever pickup truck is innovative and capable, though it doesn't even look like a pickup at a glance. Honda claims the Ridgeline has a full-size interior and midsize exterior. Unlike ordinary trucks, with their strictly square triple-box profiles, the Ridgeline's cargo bed is fully integrated into the cab. Rather than horizontal at the bed top, as usual, jauntily angled panels reach toward the cab. Honda targets younger buyers with active lifestyles, rather than the traditional pickup-truck owners who might shun an unconventional import-brand truck. Offroad, a Ridgeline can dash up 28-degree hills and has 8.2-inch ground clearance.
